He also provided concrete ideas on on-site planning and facilities development, visitor management, and negative impact mitigation measures. In writing the textbook, the author referred to published works, particularly the Department of Tourism's Tourism Guidebook for Local Government Units and its supplemental readings. Nevertheless, he infused this work with insights from his professional experience. While this is an update, the author thinks that the reader will find it most beneficial when used together with the 2014 version.
